Corporate registers are public in most jurisdictions and are the cleanest way to establish that an organization exists and who is accountable for it. This lookup reads open corporate data rather than breach records, so it returns structure: registration numbers, jurisdiction, status and registered address.

What a result contains
Legal identity
Registered name, number and jurisdiction.
Entity identifier
The ISO 17442 LEI where one has been issued.
Status
Whether the entity is active, dissolved or in liquidation.
Registered address
The address on file with the register.
How to read the result
- An address shared with dozens of other companies usually identifies a formation agent rather than an operating business.
- Match on the registration number, not the name. Similar trading names are common and the number is the only unambiguous key.
