Where we differ
- Monitoring and WHOIS
- They offer breach monitoring and historical WHOIS enrichment, and we offer neither. If you need alerting on a domain or a historical WHOIS trail, use them. This is a straight loss for us on features.
- Account model
- Registering with them requires an email address, and their own interface states that you must verify it before you can log in. We issue an access key and collect no email address, so there is no mailbox to breach and no marketing list to end up on.
- Scale claims
- Their homepage states that they are the largest firm in the industry and prints a record count of 13,355,474,647. We cannot verify how that figure is counted, and we do not make an equivalent claim about our own sources.
- Pricing transparency
- Their pricing path returns a not found page, no pricing entry appears in their navigation, and the plan cards on their own search page render a placeholder instead of a figure. We recovered the three search prices from their live application bundle, which is where we say we got them rather than passing them off as published rates.
