Cookie Policy

A session cookie identifies a signed in account. Without it the console cannot associate your queries with your credit balance.

A CSRF token cookie protects authenticated form submissions.

No advertising cookies, no cross site tracking pixels, and no third party marketing tags.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. Other preferences are stored in browser local storage and can be cleared from your browser settings at any time.

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser and sends back with later requests. Local storage is a similar mechanism that holds a value in your browser without sending it with every request.

This policy covers both, because we use both.

Strictly necessary. The session cookie and the CSRF token cookie. These are required for sign in and for the console to work, and they are not used for tracking. They do not need consent because the service cannot be delivered without them.

Preferences. A small number of interface settings, held in local storage, such as a remembered lookup type. These are set only when you make a choice in the interface, and clearing them costs you nothing but the remembered setting.

If we add analytics or a payment provider that sets its own cookie, this policy will list it by name and purpose before it is enabled, and anything not strictly necessary will be set only with your agreement.

Local storage holds interface preferences only. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not shared with anyone else.

We do not run advertising or cross site tracking technology, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off beyond the strictly necessary cookies.

We do not sell data derived from cookies, and we do not permit a third party to set advertising cookies on this site.
